Why Take Action?
|
When it comes to speaking about cancer, nobody does it better than those who have been there.
For policymakers to take action, they need to hear directly from people with cancer and their supporters. By speaking up, you can help assure that a friend, a co-worker, a loved one or even you have access to screening, early detection, and high-quality cancer care. |
Change doesn't just happen. It is driven by people and organizations who are committed to making a difference and who persuade others to act.
When Senators Kennedy and Hutchison file their cancer bill, it may be the most important federal cancer legislation of our time. And they will need your support to pass the bill in Congress.

Your voice matters!
The Kennedy-Hutchison proposal aims to reinvigorate the war on cancer and broaden the battle turf even further by increasing research; improving prevention and early detection; expanding access to screenings and care; addressing the distinctive needs of cancer survivors; creating incentives for more people to work in oncology; ensuring that new drugs and treatments move quickly from the laboratory to patients; and expanding access to clinical trials.
If any of these issues are important to you, Congress needs to hear from you!
